Images of Christmas Day 1

My goal is to post an image that reflects some of the Christmas traditions around the house.  I hope you find it as cozy and welcoming as I do.  I know the real reason for Christmas has nothing to do with decorations, baking, presents, or even family.  The real reason we celebrate is because of Jesus being born and WHY he was born.  The story doesn't end there though.  The story ends when we celebrate Easter, or Resurrection Sunday.  Both components to His story make up the whole.

That being said... here is Christmas Image # 1:

I recently read this gem of a book by Carrie Maldanado.  I would consider immersion reading.  I found the best place to put it down was at the end.

Without giving too much away, I will say that the story addresses a difficult subject.  Holly Mathews finds out she has a terminal disease.  During the plot, she discovers how her life can impact other people's lives for good.  Now that I type it out it sounds a little cliche, but Carrie Maldonado has written a fresh plotline that faces Holly's illness with honesty, hope, and humor.  There are light romance and religious tones to the story, but it is not preachy in the least.  Personally, I recommend this book and I look forward to reading more of Carrie Moldonado's work.
